This underrated card can give you 10% back on PhonePe spends and 5% on online retail spends, making it the best cashback card after the recent SBI Cashback card devaluation.
Unlike the SBI Cashback card, PhonePe SBI Card Black offers 4 domestic airport lounge access with no spend requirement and remains eligible for the instant bank discount during Amazon Great Indian Festival.

ICICI Bank MakeMyTrip
Travel Card For Free Airport Lounges

- Annual fee: ₹999 + GST (Waived on ₹2.99 Lakhs annual spend)

- Travel rewards: 6% value back on MMT hotel bookings and 3% on flights.
ICICI explicitly exempted this MMT co-branded card from their massive 75K per quarter spend requirement to unlock airport lounge access.
However, the reward rate is low compared to other travel cards and limited to MakeMyTrip. Only apply for this card if you are a regular MMT user or have an existing relationship with ICICI Bank.
If you can spend ₹20,000 per month, get the Lifetime Free Scapia Card that offers much better overall value for travelers.

Premium Credit Cards
- Annual fee: ₹3,000 to ₹4,999
- Minimum Income: ₹6-12 LPA
HDFC Marriott Bonvoy
Best No Spend Premium Travel Card 🏨

- Annual fee: ₹3,000 + GST (No spend-based waiver)
- Lounge access: 12 domestic lounges and 12 international lounges per year
- Welcome & Renewal benefit: 1 Free Night Award (worth up to 15,000 points).

- Status perk: Free Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status.
- Reward points: 8 points per ₹150 on Marriott stays; 4 points on travel, dining, and entertainment. (1 Point = ₹1)
I personally hold the HDFC Marriott Bonvoy Card, and even though I don’t use the card much, it gives me a massive 3X return on the annual fee. As joining & renewal benefit, it pays out a Free 5-Star Hotel Night every year easily worth ₹10,000 or more.
Plus, 24 lounge access per year without any spend criteria makes the HDFC Marriott card way more valuable than recently devalued Regalia Gold.
Best For Free 5-star Hotel Nights
Axis Bank Horizon
Best Mid-Premium Travel Card ✈️

- Annual fee: ₹3,000 + GST
- Lounge access: 32 domestic (8 per quarter) and 8 international (2 per quarter) per year.
- Welcome benefit: 5,000 EDGE Miles (1 Mile = ₹1).
- Reward points: 5 EDGE Miles per ₹100 on travel bookings; 2 EDGE Miles on everyday spends.
Axis has been on the top of the list of banks when it comes to devaluation. They have devalued their premium cards like Select and Magnus which require ₹50k per quarter spend to unlock the domestic airport lounges.
Thankfully, Axis Horizon is safe as of now, and with 40 airport lounge access with no spend limit, it’s a must have card if you travel frequently within India.
On top of that, you can easily book a free flight ✈️ with 5000 Edge miles (welcome benefit).
Best For Frequent Flyers & Lounge Access 💺
HSBC TravelOne
Best Premium Travel Card 👑

- Annual fee: ₹4,999 + GST (waived on ₹8 lakhs annual spend)
- Lounge access: 6 domestic + 4 international lounges per year.
- Welcome benefit: ₹1,000 cashback, a ₹3,000 PostCard voucher, and 3-month EazyDiner Prime upon spending ₹10,000 within the first 30 days.
- Reward points: 4 points per ₹100 spent on flights, travel aggregators, and in foreign currency; 2 points per ₹100 on other spends.
Since Axis Bank dropped Accor from its Edge Miles partners, the HSBC TravelOne has become the go-to alternative. By transferring points to Accor, you can extract up to a massive 48% return on hotel bookings. It is also one of the rare premium cards offering free airport transfers.
However, the limited 10-visit lounge quota is a drawback for the ₹4,999 fee, making the HDFC Marriott or Axis Horizon better choices for heavy flyers.
Note: Approvals are strictly limited to select major cities, but it is worth grabbing if you are eligible.
Super Premium HNI Cards
- Annual fee: ₹10,000 and above
- Minimum Income: ₹30 Lakhs+
HDFC Infinia Metal
Best HNI Lifestyle & Travel Card

- Annual fee: ₹12,500 + GST (Waived on ₹10 Lakhs annual spend)
- Lounge access: Unlimited domestic and international visits for primary and add-on cardholders.
- Welcome & Renewal benefit: 12,500 RP (1 RP = ₹1), Club Marriott Membership.
- Reward points: 3.33% base rate, with up to 10X rewards on SmartBuy.
HDFC explicitly exempted this flagship card from petty quarterly spend conditions, offering unconditional global lounge access. It can give you up to 33.3% return when used for hotel bookings via HDFC SmartBuy.
Since the 12,500 renewal reward points completely offset the annual fee, it offers much better overall value than any other HNI card.
Note: Infinia maintains a strict invite-only policy. Additionally, HDFC might add a ₹18 lakhs per year spend requirement to keep the card active.
HDFC Diners Club Black Metal
Best HNI Card with Open Applications ✅

- Annual fee: ₹10,000 + GST (Waived on ₹8 Lakhs annual spend)
- Lounge access: Unlimited domestic and international lounge visits for primary and add-on cardholders.
- Welcome benefit: Annual memberships to Club Marriott, Amazon Prime, and Swiggy One.
- Reward points: 3.33% base rate, with up to 10X rewards on SmartBuy.
HDFC Diners Club Black is the best alternative if you are not able to get an invite for Infinia. Both cards offer up to 33.3% return on travel booking via SmartBuy and unlimited lounge access including the Encalm Privé, the business class lounge.
However, Diners Club black has the 10,000 RP milestone benefit on 4 lakhs per quarter spent, making it a better alternative to Infinia.
Best Infinia Alternative For HNIs 💼
HSBC Premier

Best For High Travel Spends & Luxury Perks
Choosing The Best Lounge Access Credit Card
Basic Requirements:
- No spend criteria for lounge access.
- Worthy rewards & benefits that justify the annual fee.
1. For Beginners: 🔰 If you have lower spends (₹20k–₹30k/month), go for the IndusInd Tiger Credit Card for soft lifestyle benefits like unconditional airport lounge access, movie tickets, and golf. Pair it with the First-Year-Free PhonePe SBI Select Black Card for hard cashback benefits like 10% value back on PhonePe and 1% on UPI.
2. For Daily Commuters: 🚙 Apply for the SBI BPCL Octane. It gives you 6.25% value back on fuel spends of up to ₹10,000 per month. If you refill your tank for ~₹4,000 twice a month, you easily extract ₹6,000 in yearly value. Plus, you get ~₹58 back on Bharat Gas cylinders every month, alongside 4 free domestic lounge access.
3. For Frequent Flyers: ✈️ If your income is ₹6 Lakhs+, the HSBC TravelOne should be your go-to travel card for hotel and flight bookings. But since it provides only 6 domestic + 4 international lounge visits per year, pair it with the Axis Horizon for an additional 40 lounge visits unconditionally.
4. For HNIs: 💼 Request an invite for the HDFC Infinia or apply for the HDFC Diners Club Black Metal; both offer unlimited lounges and super-premium perks. However, if you spend significantly on travel, get the HSBC Premier Card—it offers an unbeatable return of up to 72% on hotel bookings and explicitly allows you to bring guests into international lounges.
5. For Luxury Seekers: 🏨 If you want a guaranteed free stay in a 5-star hotel every year along with 24 unconditional lounge visits, apply for the HDFC Marriott Bonvoy card without a second thought.
