Confused b/w Tata Neu Infinity and IndusInd Tiger? Your confusion ends here.
Infinity is a mid-premium ecosystem card with ₹1,499 fee — I’ve earned 31,840+ NeuCoins on mine over 18 months.
Tiger is a lifetime-free lifestyle card I use specifically to funnel spending into Air India Maharaja Club points.
Both are in my 20+ card stack. Let’s compare them to find out which one suits you the best.
Quick Verdict
Choose IndusInd Tiger if you want a lifetime free card with lounge access and 1:1 Air India Maharaja Club transfers.
Choose Tata Neu Infinity if you’re a Tata lover (earn up to 10% back) + get ~3.5% return on utility bills.

Fees & Welcome Benefit
| Infinity | Tiger | |
|---|---|---|
| Joining Fee | ₹1,499 + GST | ₹0 |
| Renewal Fee | ₹1,499 + GST | ₹0 |
| Fee Waiver | ₹3 lakh annual spend | Not applicable — always free |
| Welcome Benefit | 1,499 NeuCoins (~₹1,499) | – |
Infinity’s fee is ₹1,769 (incl. GST), but realistically waivable — if you’re spending ₹25,000+/month, you’ll easily achieve the ₹3L waiver.
I spent over ₹5L on this card and earned over 30K+ Neucoins. Read Infinity card review…
Tiger charges no annual fee in the first place, no spend threshold to track.
Reward Structure
| Infinity | Tiger | |
|---|---|---|
| Base Rate | 1.5% | 1 pt/₹100 (~1%) at the base slab |
| Top rate | Up to 10% (5% card + 5% NeuPass) — Tanishq, Croma, Taj, Tata CLiQ, Westside, etc. | 6 pts/₹100 — above ₹5L/year spend |
| UPI Spends | 1.5% (via Tata Neu app), 0.5% (other apps) | NA |
| Utilities—Insurance, recharges, bills | ~3.5% | ~1% |
| Rent, govt, education payments | No reward | ~1% |
| Gift Cards | ≥ 5% via Tata Neu app | Same as other categories |
| No reward on | Fuel, rent, wallet, govt., cash advances, education (third-party) | Fuel, wallet loads, EMI, cash withdrawals |
Infinity’s best to get up to 10% back on Tata brands. If you spend outside, you’re down to 1.5% or less. However, it’s a decent reward to earn on daily UPI transactions.
While Tiger follows a spend more, earn more model with no brand restriction at all. For example, it earns 20,000 points on a ₹6L annual spend, a 3.33% effective return.
Best of all, it pays you base return (~1%) on special categories like rent, real estate, govt, and education payments.
Redemption
| Infinity | Tiger | |
|---|---|---|
| Value per point | 1 NeuCoin = ₹1 (flat, always) | ₹0.40/point, or ≥1% (Air India Points) |
| Redemption options | BigBasket, Croma, 1mg, Tata CLiQ, Titan, Tanishq, IHCL hotels, Tata Motors, etc. | Statement credit, voucher, transfer to Air India Maharaja Club and KrisFlyer |
| Redemption cap | None | 5,000 points/month for cash & vouchers |
| Transfer to Air India Maharaja Club | Not available | 1:1 — the card’s core purpose |
| Points Validity | 365 days mostly | 2 years |
Tiger’s points are only worth when transferred to Air Indian Maharaja Club otherwise you get ₹0.40/points only.
On the other hand, the Tata ecosystem is large enough to offer you flexibility without any cap on redemption. You can shop for groceries, fashion, electronics, jewelry or book flights and hotels.
💡 My experience with Infinity: I redeemed ~15400 Neucoins for 1g gold coin and 6300 coins for a free stay at Taj City Centre, Gurugram.

Lounge Access & Other Benefits
| Infinity | Tiger | |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic lounges | 8/year (2/quarter) | 8/year (2/quarter) |
| Intl. lounges | 4/year (1/quarter) | 2/year |
| Spend condition | ₹50,000 in the previous quarter | None |
| How you access | Voucher-based — claim via SMS/email, redeem within 180 days | Direct swipe |
| No. of eligible lounges | 23 | 50+ |
| Golf Access | None | 1 game or lesson per quarter |
| Movie Tickets | None | 1 ticket up to ₹500 every 6 months |
HDFC Bank has downgraded the lounge access on Tata Neu Infinity by introducing a complex voucher-based process and limiting the number of lounges. For instance, the Encalm lounge at T1, IGI airport is not in the list.
Tiger wins because:
- No spend requirement to unlock access
- Large lounge network including regional airports
- Simple and easy process

I hold both cards and earned over 31,840 NeuCoins in 18 months using Tata Neu Infinity for Tanishq purchases, Taj stays, and insurance premiums.
Meanwhile, IndusInd Tiger serves as my tool for accumulating Air India Maharaja Club points on everyday spends. Read full Tiger Review →
Acquiring the Tiger card took persistence—my instant Infinity approval relied on an existing HDFC relationship, whereas my initial Tiger request was rejected under “internal policy”. Check out the real rejection reason for Tata Neu Infinity.
I secured Tiger only after escalating and citing an RBI Ombudsman complaint. This push highlights its value as a sought-after, zero-cost card.
Final Verdict
Tiger should be your default choice if your monthly income is below ₹1 lakh. It packs lounges access—no spend, golf access, movie tickets, and 1:1 Maharaja Club points transfer, what else to ask for from a lifetime free card!
Go with Tata Neu Infinity if you’re a heavy Tata brands lover (bills, electronics, gold, travel); at ₹25k+/month, the fee easily pays for itself.
Or have both, like I do.
